First gym session using GuavaPass~

When was the last time I exercise!?????? Almost ten years ago!!! Need to shed the extra kilos yo!

So as recommended by my good Friend Fleurbaby, I signed up for GuavaPass… my referral coupon code if you please~

(will get you $40 off your first bill) CandyLovesGuava18333

For some reason, the first class I chose was some fitness circuit interval training at Extreme Fitness West Coast… was the only student who booked that late class slot!!! So turns out I have a personal trainer for that hour… I NEARLY DIED!!!

I preempt my trainer Stanley it’s been a reallllllll looong time since I had any form of damn exercise! He was really humorous and encouraging though, trying to push at my limits which is really not much at all to be honest.

Half an hour into it, I was already lolling and rolling off the yoga mat and bargaining with my trainer…

Planks in progress- supposedly 1 minute~

Candy: Huh!!!?? 1 minute ah! 30 secs can!? I can barely feel my legs already!!

Trainer S- ok can

In the end never even lasted 20 seconds!

The most Jialat student ever…

Alright, that’s the first experience~ updates on further bookings…

A soak with Obasan and transitting to Jiufen

Hubs and I Woke up super early like 6+ am (Blame the body clock), went down to the reception of Shan-Yue HotSpring Hotel to request a soak in the Public Onsen. Opens at 7am, so we lounge around a while till 7am.

Bid our temp farewell with a cheeky “don’t start comparing your ding dongs with others ah” and proceeded respectively to our 男汤 and 女汤. Not allowed to take pics inside (duh!). Stole some pics from google!

Pic on the right features the changing room where we stripped down. Pic on the right is the public pool!

Showered before going in in order not to contaminate the baths, basic courtesy and expected of you. I actually went into the indoor one when an obasan who apparently frequents there beckons to me to go through a door and out in the open air bath as featured on the left pic. The temperature is hotter than the indoor bath and took me some squirmish time to get myself completely submerged with encouragement from the obasan! The people there are really so nice T_T.

Met up with hubs who was already done with his soak and he had similar experience with an ojisan lol. He actually wondering where all the ojisans disappeared to and noticed they went through a door that leads towards the public onsen.

Had a simple breakfast in the hotel and proceeded to transit to jiufen via train. Was really glad we prebooked the train tix!

Bought Bentos for our short trip!

img_0068Happy Hubs!

Do Book your tickets in advance!

img_0069Hubs’s pork chop rice which I liked more than my own bento…

img_0070My chicken chop rice which hubs liked more than his own.. Swopped bentos…

Reached Ruifang in a jiffy and took a cab up to Jiufen while enjoying the scenery all the way up!

Walking towards our bnb and hubs caught sight of the dog! He just had to take a picture of the dog… zzz

Enjoyed the short walk to the bnb called 九份啊嬤的家!

The top entrance to the abode! Almost right at the doorsteps of Jiufen old street! It was winter there.. check out my hub’s T-shirt, jeans and slippers… tsk tsk

Dumped our barangs and we head out again to Ruifang to catch the Pingxi Line! Interestingly the train arrives at interval of an hour and at every stops. enabling visitors to enjoy an hour at each station before moving on to the next. You can purchase the pingxi line ticket which covers all the stops. We missed the train by ten minutes! Walked around while waiting for the next train!

Ruifang feels like really grandmaish!

I apologize for the photo quality as I’m just too lazy to edit them~~ lazy

We found gachapon machines outside their convenience store!

December Trot to Taipei (First Day Beitou Hot Spring and Tamsui Old Street)

We chose Taipei this year because the hubs wanted to eat eat and eat! What better place than the country famous for their night markets?

And so using the exclusive Search engine Hubs have as a member of WV, we booked 2 Eva Air Tix at a ridiculous fab price for Xmas Eve 2016.

We do love our Changi Airport! Here’s the beautiful butterfly garden!

The garden smells really sweet courtesy of the flowers and pineapples!

Er I can imagine this breed of flowers were planted for this breed of butterflies!??

My iphone Cam will suffice!

I can only think of Pokemons! The one that Team Rocket possessed which always try to ingest them! Pardon my ignorancy and I could care less about the name.

Aboard the plane! Was assigned the  front seats with plenty of leg space! Am a happy traveling couple! Not our first trip to Taiwan and definitely not the last! Woots

Lunch provided, twas way over lunch time and I was complaining of hunger.. Those who know me knows I can never handle hunger! Will tsao tsao ngiam till I was fed! Hahahaa I guess Alice know me gao gao liao! Thankfully, the crew gave us snacks before meals were served.

Mixed nuts and crunches and I love it!

img_0038Forgot whose liao, mine or hubs? probably hub’s! That pudding was mouthmeltingly good!

Ubered to our Hot Spring hotel Shan-yue Hot spring hotel! Link here for you!

Was a little old and quaint, good enough taste for both of us!

We decided to soak after dinner instead so off we went to Tamsui Old Street via Uber again! We were tired ah! hahahaha

Tamsui is chock full of yummy delicious street food and whatsnot! Was already night time so most of their shops were closed! We satisfied ourselves with the street food and people watching! The older Obaa-sans and Oji-sans were speaking Min-Nan language, an old local language extremely similar to hokkien! I was able to understand most of them which is good because I had to come to speak in the next few days.

Here’s a few photos of the hubs with his precious street food! No or minimal photos of me till hubs learn to take decent photos of me… tsk..

He loves the fried Codfish balls! Real crunch and yums! Bought from this roadside Oba-san!

Gigan Fried Squid with basil!

Rare pic of me with candied cherry tomatoes and preserved plums! (冰糖葫芦)

Oh oh oh!!! Don’t ever ever forget the delicious sausage! I love Taiwan Sausages! Ahahhaha

Diced fire grilled beef cubes!

Plum juice, One of Tamsui’s favorite drink!

Tall ice cream tower! Check out the unglamness of eating it!

Hubs will kill me for this.

Resting with fried sotong legs, diced fire roasted Beefs (Shai niu) some sour plum juice!

Decided to take the MRT back and we bought their version of Ezlink called the EASY card 悠游卡! I chose One piece Boa Hancock design which cost me about 10 SGD and hubs went and bought that Easy charm which cost double of mine and have the same value… >_>

Xinbeitou special onsen train! The hubs loves it!

Check out the stuffs we bought at Tamsui lol!

Stay tuned for the next day!

Update on Toreba Crane Game (not an ad)

Update: I received the first shipment of the 2 Gloomy Bears! Was so excited, I felt my inner kid almost bursting out of my skin. Phew Breathe!

It came in this box and not as heavy as I thought! Duh!

Lined my 2 sisters and my hubs! I was that excited!

And the unveiling….!

2 huge Gloomy bears!!! ❤

As promised the videos of the Toys Drop!

Toreba crane game craze

Recently just recently I downloaded this Toreba crane game and got a little addicted to it. It works just like a 娃娃机. They are real crane machines situated in Japan and they can be Controlled using the app and of course requires real money…

So I won 2 gloomy bears a few weeks ago…

They ship overseas to Singapore for free so I was pretty happy. Well they do earn quite a bit from the plays I guess considering the cost of toys and the pricing they charge per play. I play for the satisfaction of it..

Anyway today I was feeling a little jaded with CNY and so on… when Husband gave me $100 just for me to play the game! And I won 2 stuff toys again!! So that made my day! I will upload the videos when I’m on my laptop! For now, the screenies of the toys I won!

P.S. I did not spend all 100 on the game lol!
